...First Night...

Well all the dramas of moving, Christmas and New Year are behind me.  I am back at work and ready to give 100% of my attention to 365 Hyde Park.

Walking through the park this morning was amazing.  There had been a bit of rain but it had cleared and the sun was shining making the light bounce of the leaves. Everything is so green and fresh.

Below are some photos from First Night.  It was a very surreal experience.  I have been stalking Hyde Park in the early mornings, a time when everything is quiet and peaceful; and to have it transformed into a vaudevillian playground was a bit overwhelming.

After dark, the park became a venue for sensory overload. Lightshow, music, SNOW.  It was bizarre and a little bit crazy.  There were so many people and the excitement of the crowd felt palpable.

Sydney Festival First Night...just arrived home after eight hours of tramping through the park.  Exhausted. So many people. It was hard...but hopefully I have a couple of shots...which I will share tomorrow...if you did not get to this event...well you missed something amazing...great music...great light show...great atmosphere.  Love Hyde Park!

...day three...Spiegel Tent is in town!

Well, I wasn't sure that I would be able to do a blog today...facing failure on day three!  I am moving on Wednesday and have been packing...plus it has been raining most of the day.

But this afternoon there was a break in the weather and I saw an opportunity to get some fresh air. So I grabbed my camera and off I went.

It was then I noticed the signs.
